Liner notes:

This album is dedicated to the earth people who are unusual becausethey have begun to pause, look back, and wonder where they have come fromand why, and where they are going to!

The earth is a living thing just as we are and has a soul as we do. You look at the heavens through a telescope.Reverse the telescope and you have a microscope through which (if powerfulenough), you would see almost the same sight. (Electrons in orbit aroundtheir stars.) "In my father's house there are many mansions"(The Bible).

We are most probably existing on amolecule inside the material of, perhaps, a living thing in the next sizeup.

The rocket ship shape of churches probablydates back to Moses' visit to speak to God on the mountain and what hesaw there.

2004 Space Hymns re-issue

Space Hymns 2004

The 2004 Repertoire reissue (REPUK 1030) has four bonus tracks. Balloon (Alternative Mix, 1971 UK Single A side), Muddy Water (1971 UK Single B side), Jesus Come Back (1972 UK Single A side), Hello Mister (1972 UK Single B Side). Original album in stereo, four bonus tracks in mono.

The album is a cardboard gatefold cover with a poster of the original inner cover as a separate fold out.
-- Bobby Truscott, 4th January 2005
Strawberry Studios: It [Strawberry Studios]even attracted a self-confessed reincarnated Egyptian god called Ramases(really a central heating salesman from Sheffield) who came to Stockportwith his wife, Sel, and, with Stewart, Godley, Creme and Gouldman [whoformed 10cc in 1972], put together a rather strange album!
-- StrawberryStudios website
Hippie commune: Early Vertigo band, a male/female duo making the sort of music you'd expect to hear on a hippie commune. "You're The Only One Joe" is one of those songs whichsticks in your head for all of eternity. Members of 10cc played on SpaceHymns, the one I heard, which is housed in an impressive poster cover.Novel, but definitely not essential.
-- Mike Ohman, The Progressive Rock Website
Ramases: 'Space Hymns', including great fold-out cover, studiowork by Godley & Creme;apparently expounds religious visions of infinite regress of microscopic universes.

Himnos del espacio My name is Toņo, and I live in Spain. I have this album from the year 1972 that started in Spain, the purchase of the album it was a chance, but well it was the cover the one that decided me to buy it. But to the first one he/she listens I realized that he/she had made a great purchase.

God Voice: Just for correctness reasons, note that track 14 of the Australian 'Space Hymns' CD is erroneously referred to as 'Only The Loneliest Feeling' on the CD cover, while in fact the track included in the CD is 'God Voice'!
