HALF MOON OVER BOO!BON STREET
Saturday 5th May

Walking across the Thames tonight I was reminded of the classic song "Baby it's Cold Outside". The second part ("but it's warm in here") was completed once we got into the back room of the Half Moon Pub in Putney, and it wasn't just the temperature that was hot, there were some hot sounds eminating from the stage.

Opening for Boo! is probably becoming more and more daunting and it seemed to show a bit as Dorp kicked off the evening. They seemed slightly nervous at first and had difficulty connecting with the audience, with just their small fanbase dancing in the front while the rest of the crowd waited patiently for Boo! However the turning point of their set was the catchy "Madcow" which got the audience's attention and from then on they were rocking. Slimmed down to a 3 piece, with lead singer Pieter Bezuidenhout sporting a crazed Michael Stipe look, they enhanced their reputation with their blend of rock and dance
overlayed with some intelligent lyrics.

The burning issue at any Boo! gig is what is Chris Chameleon going to be wearing? Tonight he had on a tank top with the words Baby Love across the chest, a small pair of gym shorts and he was sporting a standard issue Civil Servant moustache. The group seemed more relaxed and mature tonight than at previous gigs. There was a confidence about them as they flirted with the audience relying less on gimmicks, strange outfits and strange noises but rather concentrating on the music which the audience lapped up. From the word go it was a party, with the crowd bouncing around and singing along. All the elements of a great night out. This was undoubtedly the best Boo! gig I've seen.

By the way if anyone is wandering what happened to the other half of the moon, it was sticking out the back of Chris Chameleon's gym shorts.

NEWS ON JUST JINGER
(Summary of an article from the SA Times)

Just Jinger are back in London and have been packing them in at the Walkabout in Shepherd's Bush, but despite the recent success in South Africa with their latest album 'Strange World', the audience continues to be comprised mainly of ex-pats. However, Art Matthews, the band's lead singer remains optimistic that the group will hit the big time.

They have decided that this time they are going to do fewer gig ("As Art points out, you wouldn't even go and listen to U2 ten times a month") and have got themselves day jobs!!! By this they aim to be less reliant on the band for income and they hope that this will allow them to be more flexible and take a slightly more relaxed approach to things this year. ('Strange World' was recorded in London in just seven days.) And they recently drafted in a new guitarists, a Frenchman called Pascal Danae who has made enough of an impression that the band are considering bringing him on board permanently.

The band returned home over Christmas to promote 'Strange World' and played to crowds of 2 500 at Ratanga Junction and 5 000 at Sun City. This success has encouraged them to return to London and try and move up to the next level. They have sold in excess of 200 000 albums in SA, but Art says that he won't be satisfied until they have shifted one million units.

If they are to make it, they will have to do so this year as their 2 year working visas run out at the end of the year. Art remains confident, "You just need time, our window period will come, we will get a gap. I do believe it's going to happen and I do believe it's going to happen this year, perhaps in the next four months."

THE BOERS ARE BACK IN TOWN

London is on full alert as a Boer invasion is imminent. Not since 1902 when the Anglo Boer War finished has there been such an attack on the English by the Afrikaners. The first shot across the bow was fired by Koos Kombuis earlier this year, now, much to the delight of the ex pats, London is to be rocked by Valiant Swart (7 May) and in what is being a called the African Ambush Tour, Billygoat and Delta Blue (double billing 29 May) and a triple billing of Anton Goosen, Piet Botha and Akkedis (4 June). The double bill clocks in at £10 each while the triple bill is a mere £12. All these events will take place at the Walkabout. A concert is also planned for Cardiff on 12 June for the triple billing.

In addition to this there will be unplugged concerts at the African centre on 7 June (Anton Goosen), 11 June (Piet Botha) and 18 June (Akkedis). Tickets to these events will be £20 with all profits going to the Mandela Children's Fund.

So, clean the old rifle, saddle your horses and head out to the Walkabout as the Boererock Generals are about to annex that part of London know simply as The Walkabout.

Tickets can be bought from C.O.W. Promotions, contact: aNena, Gerhard or Johan and the numbers are 0208 3743917, 02089231464 or 07870355681 all hours.

FRESH MUSIC ON TV AND RADIO

While the RETRO Fresh catalogue of classic SA rock albums swells with the recent addition of CDs from Hawk (‘African Day’), The Dynamics, and Falling Mirror (‘Johnny Calls The Chemist’), the regular Fresh label is also keeping up with new album releases from Helloangel (‘Balance’) and Sunways (‘The Moon’s A Spoon’). Meanwhile, label bright lights Blk Sonshine are busy spreading their magic around New York. All this has not gone un-noticed by those who populate our radio and TV programs.

So watch out for the following media sightings of these Fresh artists and albums in the next few weeks - ‘Castle Loud’ (SABC1) will feature two Fresh groups at 9pm on May 10. There will be a screening of the new documentary on Blk Sonshine, and the video for ‘Me And My People Building’, as well as Sunways performing their new single ‘Style’ live in the studio and being interviewed. That Blk Sonshine documentary will be on rotation during May on Channel O (SABC1).

On Saturday night (May 12), Sunways will be featured on Michelle Constant’s ‘Saturday Wired’ radio show on SAFM (104-107FM, 9-midnite). The band will again be interviewed and will play live in the studio. Earlier that evening, Fresh Supreme-ou, Benjy Mudie, will be discussing the RETRO Fresh label and story on Radio Helderberg at 7pm.

SHAKTI AND ZEN ARCADE ROCK RUSTLERS

Rustlers Valley is a mountain-ringed retreat near the Lesotho border. Four days of camping and carousing, with a smorgasbord of live music, DJs and performance artists providing entertainment. For the approximately 3 000 people who made the annual pilgrimage, it was a lucky Friday 13th. The evening's live music offering kicked off with Zen Arcade, a tight 4-piece original rock outfit from Jo'burg. Despite initial monitor problems, the band played a strong sundowner set, holding the attention of the crowd with a varied mix of power drumming, distinctive vocals and guitars that oscillated from power rock to psychedelia. The impression the band had made was even more evident the next day, when a hastily organized set by Zen Arcade on the smaller open-air Comet Stage, saw a sizeable Saturday night crowd cheering and dancing enthusiastically, in spite of the persistent rain.

By far, Friday's most exciting phenomenon was Shakta, a 3-piece band comprising a deep groove bassist, manic percussionist and virtuoso keyboardist/lead guitarist. Their music is solid electronic dance, with a strong trance element. The drums are all loops, which drive the infectious grooves of the three live musicians (who, it transpires, are all brothers). By the end of the first song, the dance floor was pumping and so it continued throughout the set. For those who lament the future of "live" bands, Shakta offer a ray of hope - effortlessly straddling the gap between DJ culture and traditional musicianship. Two very different bands - and two new names to look out and listen for in the future. (AL)

SPLASHY HITS THE RIGHT NOTES

The 12th Splashy Fen Music Festival which took place recently (April 26 - 29) proved once again that this "grand-daddy" of music festivals has all the right ingredients to continue to attract local and international music-lovers and remain the longest and oldest music festival of its kind in the country.

The geographical lay-out of the festival was altered slightly this year, and with these changes came more acoustic music during the day, a blues element and a free stage which saw a number of music acts showcased for the first time.

'For us it was one of the nicest Festivals we have had" says owner of Splashy Fen farm, Peter Ferraz. "People seemed to have a renewed respect for their surroundings and for others. As a result we have had favourable feedback about the lack of litter, clean ablutions and few incidents. In fact we did not receive one negative comment about the toilets this year!"

What also pleased the organizers was the visible increase in the audience mix at the festival: "We are thrilled that the festival is starting to attract a larger audience that represents the demographics of this country" says Ferraz. "It's hard to please everyone from a music perspective, but we believe that we were able to provide a line-up of music which had broader appeal."

Numbers this year were slightly up on last year at 6500 and the general feedback from the musicians, audience and traders was very positive. "We are pleased with figures. These numbers seem manageable and easy to work with, and it feels like an optimum for the farm now." says organizer Bart Fokkens.

"Highlights of the festival were certainly Vusi Mahlasela, Springbok Nude Girls, TRO and Max Normal", reports Bart "and the children's marquee which provided child day- and night-care facilities was well-supported and considered an important part of providing for families."

Dates for next year's Splashy Fen are set at April 26 - 28.

NEWS FROM OPPIKOPPI - CHAIRMAN CAREL SPEAKS!

Magents!

The Easter festival wounds healed just in time to proclaim the 2001 "100-days-to-go" warning. (The part-time vet in Northam prescribed a not-so-fruity little cocktail made up of Terramycin, Betadine, Panado. To be taken in equal measures three times daily and when feeling light, tilted and/or scared).

This will give just enough time to physically and mentally prepare for the Thursday 9th of August 2001 (11am) kick-off, for what could be a mythical chapter in South African tune-lore. The show will almost certainly have no gigantic milkshake props on any one of the 6 or 7 stages, but we are hoping to have well in excess of 100 sets, plays and performances from some of the most progressive artists on the current circuit. (In fact Beyers does not want us to even sell milkshakes at this years’ Oppikoppi.)

The new Oppikoppi TUNED website is in the final stages of rejuvenation and in the next week or so we’ll send word. Also as has become the custom, you would be able to receive fairly regular news updates on evolving Oppikoppi issues. (Confirmed bands, quality-of-life articles, artist information, ticket give-aways, insider inner-and-outer beauty hints and more.). Speaking of which, the actual Oppikoppi tickets will also be available within two weeks.

HOG HOGGIDY HOG - NEW ALBUM

Hog Hoggidy Hog’s 2nd full-length album, ‘Driving Over Miss Davie’, is finally finished. The CD has been a good couple of months in the making and has already been commented on by people in the industry as being, "leagues above anything else of it’s kind". The CD includes guest appearances from other notable bands such as Dorp, Firing Squad, Fungy Gone West and more, plus this 14-track CD also has a fully interactive multimedia presentation on it, which includes the "Time 4 Love" music video. This CD is certain to cause quite a stir by setting a new quality standard for independent releases.

FRUIT FLY NEWS

The Fruit Fly Navigators, fresh from their gig at Splashy Fen, will be performing the following dates over the next few months:

18 May - Zappas (PMB)
19 May - The Winston (PMB)
25 May - Miller’s (PMB)
01 June - Bargo’s (Durban)
07 July - Burn (Durban)

The band finally sorted out a distribution deal, with Intervention Arts agreeing to handle the national distribution. So, ‘Seratonin’ should be available in most CD stores in the next few weeks. And if it is not available, demand they get it. Or buy it online at http://www.kalahari.net

‘Shout’ has just been released as the latest FFN single. It has recently been selected for the latest 5FM showcase CD which should be available later this year. April has also seen ‘Seratonin’ peaking at No 2 in the SA Rock Digest Top SA Albums of the week charts and ‘Crush’ peaking at No. 2 on the Digest Songs Charts. Rumours that the album’s cover (featuring a chainsaw-wielding, bikini-clad young lady) is to be featured on the cover of Popular Mechanics magazine are unfounded but food for thought.

BALANCE - HELLOANGEL

New (wave) delights from this recent intercontinental duo. Intercontinental in the sense that Brit Julie Bell spent two years in SA and bonded musically with South African producer Adrian Levi, who had also spent some time in the UK as part of Ellamental before returning to settle into an accomplished career as a producer of fine albums. 'Balance' is the sum of their parts and roars in on the back of this fresh pop/rock sound with a twist of grunge. Opener 'You' swaggers in and sets the scene for the 10 songs that follow (plus a remix and video of 'I Don't Care'). Julie Bell has one of those cute, vulnerable voices that, set against the rock-edged backings, sounds like Claire Grogan fronting the Banshees. It works well on songs like 'Come With Me', 'Love In The Sink' {Huh? - ed}, and 'Inspired'. But your tolerance for this will be tested by the bouncy cute-pop of 'I Don't Care', which strays a little too far into Vengaboy territory. But it's an isolated departure and 'Perfume', 'Want' and 'Square World' throw enough alternative diversions on to this album to keep it steady and sussed. (SS)

SHILOH'S CORNER

TRACE

The Dutch progressive scene continued to remain antiseptic to world media even though the English hippies had finally acknowledged the avant-garde individualism of Jan Akkerman and Thijs van Leer, namely Focus. While Keith Emerson's combo The Nice packed the halls of London and America, a similar Dutch interpretation called Ekseption with the masterful Rick van der Linden sadly escaped world media and opinion. In 1970 a tour by Jerry Goodman and his jazz rock group The Flock had received outstanding reviews after a booked out performance at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. This particular concert had a remarkable inspiration for the ever flowing Dutch genius that was hovering in the loom.

At that stage psychedelic progressive acts were numerous in the freedom city of Amsterdam with the likes of Frumpy, Golden Earring, Shocking Blue and the extremely underrated Sweet Smoke. The de Hont brothers had found particular favour with the Dutch public under their present name, Cargo. This power packed progressive group supported the Flock during the sell-out concerts in Holland. The Dutch brotherhood of musicians were a closely knit association that often found themselves in various climates of change under different names with the same group or related thereof.

Ton Scherpenzeel and Rick van der Linden were both classically trained musicians with a similar vision to stimulate a Dutch progressive explosion on the continent. By 1974 drummer Pierre van der Linden (ex-Focus), Jaap van Eik and Rick van der Linden felt the time was right to expound their unique gifts in progressive rock, a similar experience with Ton Scherpenzeel as he launched his keyboard dominated group, Kayak. The Dutch were discerning listeners and well attuned to the ability of gifted musicians. A live concert with Trace was highly overdue, considering that their first album had not sold well and public acknowledgement of this particular combination was at a low ebb.

Their first live concert was recorded at a Dutch TV studio at Hilversum. It was a premier for the Dutch considering the fact that no pre-recorded tape was used. Finally the Paradiso, and the cold Amsterdam air crackled with the Hammond organs and mellotron of Rick van der Linden. Rick appointed Richard de Bois as manager and producer who was a former member of Jan Akkerman's first band, the Hunters. The Paradiso concert not only proved to be a sell-out but also caught the attention of Miles Copeland, one of the top English gig supervisors in the UK. With much persuasion Trace were persuaded to perform on English soil alongside Curved Air. With a six months concert at Ronnie Scott's jazz club, Trace found themselves in the centre of the British progressive heartland.

From that point onwards they played at the famous Marquee club which was presented live on the BBC. Yet again Pierre van der Linden decided to depart due to live concert exhaustion. This was very much symptomatic of Pierre who had done a similar thing with the Dutch band Focus. Rick chose Ian Mosley to replace him and recruited Darryl Way (Curved Air) on the violin to assist on their second album, "Birds". The album sold 40 000 copies in the Netherlands and 40 000 internationally.

Due to the success of the concept album "Birds", Trace toured the Netherlands alongside Osibisa and Curved Air. The success of this tour solidified the future of Rick van der Linden. In July 1975 Trace toured the continent with Wishbone Ash and finally their dream came to fruition when they flew over to the United States to do a two month live tour. The Dutch progressive scene was quadraphonic in its classical expression, resulting from four particular groups - Focus, Cargo, Trace and Kayak.

As progressive rock faded in the late seventies, so did the definitive ability of Trace. To date Rick van der Linden battles with a far greater enemy, the dreaded cancer, yet long will he be remembered as one of the great keyboard wizards to emerge from the continent.

THE VERY BEST OF FOUR JACKS AND A JILL VOLUME 2

Speaking of pop perfection, here are some delightful slices of melody pop. The big hits are on Volume 1, but that doesn't make 'The Very Best of Four Jacks and a Jill -- Volume 2' less essential. This CD has plenty of Four Jacks and a Jill happy pop.

In fact, I know of no Four Jacks and a Jill fan who has only one CD or the other, both are owned as a matter of course. That the full liner notes are in the first volume indicates to me that even Malcolm Lombard, who produced these CDs, thought of them as essentially one double CD in separate jewel cases. At R60 each, these two discs are really a double CD that contains over 145 minutes of music.

Though 'The Very Best of Four Jacks and a Jill Volume 2' has fewer hits than 'The Very Best of... Volume 1', no Four Jacks and a Jill fan should be without this CD because it still contains many favorite songs and some hits, as well as some songs from their movies.

'Half and Half', is a fine tolerance song, an issue they took a stand on during their recent concert tour. 'The Last of the Callaghan Boys' received substantial airplay when released. There's 'Shamwari', which I dangerously assume is from the movie 'Shamwari' -- a film directed by Four Jacks and a Jill bass player (and husband of Glenys Lynne) Clive Harding. Instead of calling the film 'Friend' when released in the States, it was given the unpoetic title of 'The Chain Gang Killings', perhaps to appeal to the more brutal elements of American audiences.

'Sell-A-Million' is the theme song from a Four Jacks and a Jill movie of that title, one that features the band, and which is a film I'd dearly love to own. The South African standards 'Mama Tembu's Wedding' and 'Phata Phata' appear on this disc.

I'm familiar with 'Lonely Desert Boy' and 'The Click Song' from their first US album, 'Master Jack', and 'Huckleberry Ferry Land' and 'Three Little Bears' from their second US album, 'Fables'. They are South African songs I hear with great nostalgia. (That last song has some mildly psychedelic effects in the distortion of Glenys Lynne's voice, by the way.)

'Volume 2' has a few covers of American pop songs, but to be honest, except for a lively interpretation of Neil Young's 'Love Is A Rose', the American covers are not my preferred tracks, especially 'Killing Me Softly With His Song'. However, Glenys makes 'Killing Me Softly...' more palatable than Roberta Flack's original. Were that one just a fragment slower it would be silence. Mercifully, Glenys's version doesn't drag like a tortoise on his way to school like Roberta's does.

'Volume 2' is packed with lovely fun and happy tunes, sung by she of the beautiful voice, of the inimitable voice, Glenys Lynne. This is wonderful pop, each song a two-and-a-half minute slice of perfection.

Now, if the rest of my life could be as full of harmony, beauty, and order as a Four Jacks and a Jill pop song....

JOHN SAMSON
London-based John Samson gives his own twist on SA music

MAGIC CARPET RIDE - BUFFALO

What Peter Vee wanted to do with the music produced by Buffalo was to blend the then popular disco style of music with the classic songs of the 60s to create disco music with some substance to it. Cover versions of rock classics are usually hit or miss affairs, with most being misses. (Westlife - 'Uptown Girl', Madonna 'American Pie'; the defence rests)

To a large degree he manages to pull it off with most of the tracks being funky disco tracks that rock. The prime example being the title track the rhythm of which could almost have been the basis around which Ray Parker Jr. built his smash hit 'Ghostbusters' as it has a similar feel. Other rockers are the two medleys on the album, the first containing the Stones' 'Jumping Jack Flash' and Free's 'All Right Now', the second covering Deep Purple's 'Black Night' and the classic 'Smoke on the Water'.

For pure rock lovers, the girly chorus repeatedly singing lines like 'All Along the Watchtower' and 'Smoke on the Water' on the songs of the same name will probably jar, but this along with the thumping beat gives the album the disco credibility that Vee was looking for.

Mention should be made of the vocal performance of Vee as it is gutsy and generally remains faithful to the rock ethos of the originals but is disco tinged enough to compliment the beat.

Despite all the rock influences this is decidedly a disco album, and a good one at that. But it is not mindless disco that was evident around that time (think Ottowan with "D.I.S.C.O."). It's disco that rocks. Alternatively you can look at it as rock that you can dance to (as opposed to headbanging to. Purists on either side of the fence will probably dismiss this, but I suspect that the disco purists will be less vehement.

Commentary:

From 1969 to 1989, there were only 9 weeks where the number 1 and 2 spots were held by South African artists. With Alan Garrity at 1 and Peanut Butter Conspiracy at 2, this pair of songs held the top 2 spots for 3 of those nine weeks. 'Put Your Hand in the Hand' had only taken 3 weeks to reach the number 1 spot. This song was also a US #2 hit in March 1971 for Canadian pop quintet Ocean.

This and the next 4 weeks saw the only time that 2 ex-Beatles were in the top 10 at the same time, George with 'What is Life' and Paul with 'Another Day'. Barbara Ray entered the top 20 at number 17 with 'Happy Birthday Baby'

South Africans at Number 1 this week:

Put Your Hand in the Hand - Alan Garrity (1971)
I Won't Give Up - Bruce Millar (1976)
Michael Row the Boat Ashore - Richard Jon Smith (1979)

DIE OU SOEK DIO

You probably will not be able to help me, but I decided to try anyway. I've been looking for fifteen years already for one 7" vinyl single's South African pressing without locating it. I haven't been able to find any local South African record stores except now yours.

The single in question is from a band called Dio and its title "Hungry For Heaven / King Of Rock And Roll". It was released on Vertigo (catalog number is TOS 1544) in 1985. If you'd be able to help me with this single, or if you know any other record stores in South Africa that might be able to help me, please could you let me know?

Yours sincerely,
Tapio Keihänen

SY SOEK DANIE MARAIS

I'm looking for a record that was produced round about 1960. The name of the record is 'Dans Deuntjies Van Gister' and it was Danie Marais that played the music. The record number was TL1090.

I know it is an old record, Danie Marais is my grandad, and we've been searching for this record for a few years. I would appreciate it if you could let me know if it would be possible for us to get a CD of it.

Thank you very much

JAKE REMEMBERS RODRIGUEZ IN OZ
http://www.sarockdigest.com/rodriguez

My name is Jake Salazar. I am the bass player who went to Australia with Rodriguez the first time around in 1979. What an experience it was for all of us. I am ecstatic although not surprised that Rodriquez is still making music and doing well as an entertainer. I got an email from someone who stumbled upon my name while visiting a website pertaining to Rod <http://www.sarockdigest.com/rodriguez>.

It has been many years since that tour. I have nothing but admiration for him and feel honored to have worked with Rod. The thing we went through to prepare for that tour and the events leading to each concert were ritually rock and roll. Rod is a phenomenal song writer and composer. A composer who creates melodies that establishes lyrical visions.

I remember the afternoon José Guadiana who was on the tour asked me if I would join him and return back to the US on account of him and Rod having a fall out. I tried to change José's mind and I also tried to talk to Rodriquez but to no avail so we were both asked to leave. Basically, Rodriguez fired us both in the middle of the tour. I have always regretted what happened. I enjoyed being around Rodriguez, Konny and the kids.

Jose Guadiana has since passed away and I haven't done so bad after 3 Grammy Nominations as a record producer (1986, 1997 and most recently in 1999). I really hope that Rodriquez continues writing and performing his great songs. I will always be a fan and a friend. I would enjoy to someday jam with him again.

SUBSTITUTE

There was someone who asked about a recycled dance remix of SUBSTITUTE they heard in Switzerland.

I believe a Swedish singer did a cover version (in English) in the early 90s. That may be the version they heard. The name of the singer escapes me but I can dig it out if necessary.

Alternatively, a Swiss singer called PAOLA once covered the song in German with the title ICH BIN KEIN HAMPELMANN. There was also a French cover version by French singer Sylvie Vartan with the title ADIEU LA SOLITUDE which was a minor hit in France in 1978.

{'Substitute' was composed by American Willie Wilson and was originally recorded by the Righteous Brothers. No connection at all to The Who's song of the same title. - ed}

BLACK ROSE

Great to hear that music in South Africa is the same as anywhere in the world. I bought a record by a band called "Black Rose - Live by it" 1984 released in Finland by Poko Records. Now I found out the band is from South Africa but I can't get any information. Do you know the band at all? Line-up is: Rolf Prommel (v), Carl Appels-Riley (g), Ian Simpson (d) and Mark Proctor (b). Recorded at RPM Studios by Richard Mitchell. Licensed from Music Team, Joubert Park, South Africa.
Would like to get info if the record was ever released in South Africa or just in Finland.

Hope you can help me.

Regards
Silvia from Switzerland

BRAD ON BILLBOARD

I am a South African Producer (muso) and DJ living in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I was in the bands SHOUT!, and FM Strangers back in good old SA in the early Nineties, and was signed to Gallo.

I came to Europe pursuing a dream of a better music industry (bigger bolder, brighter) and found it, and settled in Holland (after a long struggle). I currently run The Cyber Studios with a great team here in Holland.

To make a long story short I have a record currently at no. 17 in the USA BILLBOARD DANCE CHARTS, (about to go top 10), and I thought it would be nice to share this info with the SA Music scene (you know, SA Music kicking butt overseas), well check it out if you get the chance at http://www.billboard.com, and if you can help me spread the word it would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks

LOOKING FOR JOHNNY

Hi I'm looking for a guy I knew as Johnny Van Staden. He had a band he used to record with in Johannesburg, back around 1983. I met him in London late 1983 when he was between recordings. I have a tape of a couple of his songs. One, although I do not have the title, was about his love of Africa and his sadness of what was happening there. I don't remember the name of his band and I can offer little assistance, except that he would now be in his late 30's, early 40's. I have contacted various commercial radio stations in Joburg, but with little response. Can you help?

I would appreciate a response as very few have replied to my request.

Thanks
Julie
